Call and survey
Tell us about the property and the works. We arrange a site visit, take measurements and photographs and talk through what you actually want the finished space to do.

Itemised quotation
You receive a written quotation that breaks the project down by trade and by stage, with a programme and payment milestones. Nothing is hidden in a single lump sum figure.

Managed delivery
We sequence the trades, control access and dust, and update you weekly on progress. One point of contact throughout, so you are never chasing separate contractors.

Snagging and handover
We walk the finished job with you, agree a snagging list and work through it before the final payment, then hand over certificates and guarantees for the installed work.

Austin spent many months on our complete renovation project, he literally took out all existing bathrooms, kitchens, utility, walls, flooring etc and then started the massive project of fitting new bathrooms including an extra one that we put in, all plumbing, preparing new walls, ceilings, and paintwork throughout the house including cleaning and painting of vaulted ceilings, repositioned and fitted 17 new radiators, he fully decorated everything from top to bottom. Once he finished we snapped him up again to do a full renovation of a rental property we had. Austin takes great care and pride in all he does, he is friendly, knowledgeable and approachable, I cannot recommend him enough, any future projects we have we will definitely use Austin again and again.

Do you do commercial as well as residential work?
Commercial refurbishment is the main part of our business. We carry out office fit outs, washroom refurbishment, breakout areas, retail units and full commercial redecoration, and we also take on domestic renovations, kitchens, bathrooms, flooring and decorating.
Are you insured and accredited?
Yes. AJS Refurbishments is CHAS accredited and carries 5 million pounds of insurance cover. We are happy to send certificates, risk assessments and method statements to your facilities or health and safety team before we start.
Do I have to deal with several different trades?
No. Every trade on your project sits under our quotation and our programme, so you have one point of contact, one schedule and one set of invoices rather than chasing several contractors yourself.
How quickly can you start?
Smaller jobs such as decorating or flooring can often start within two to three weeks. Larger renovations and commercial fit outs are booked further ahead. Send us the details and we will tell you honestly what our next available slot is.
Do you provide a written quotation?
Always. You get a clear written quotation setting out the trades involved, the works included, the programme and the payment stages, so there is no ambiguity about what has been priced.
What happens if something is not right at the end?
We walk the completed job with you and agree a snagging list, then work through it until you are satisfied before we ask for the final payment. We would rather put something right than leave a job we are not proud of.
